Eifiona Thomas Lane - Bangor University - Higher Education
Eifiona Thomas Lane is a Geography and Environmental Planning Lecturer at Bangor University. Her research and development interests include agri-food networks and the integrated nature of sustainable communities, protected landscapes, environmental policy implementation and capacity building across local stakeholders and flow of information across policy boundaries. Ongoing action research includes food and drink sector facing / practitioner and academic work on place-making foods. She works closely with farming groups and wider rural stakeholders exploring farmers’ and other unheard voices, local supply chains and sustainable craft brewing of cider and beer.
Over the last 5 years, Eifiona undertaken independent academic research on sustainable communities and food poverty and access in Wales previously involved in the establishing of Gwynedd’s Food Charter (2012) and is contributing to the newly established North Wales Food Poverty Alliance by working towards a locally responsive, sustainable, healthy and fair good food economy.
